The German doctor sentenced for killing 15 patients was also involved in deaths that occurred over nearly three years with prosecutors arguing that the doctor acted only for the purpose of killing.
The German Doctor has Sentenced to Life under German privacy laws only as Johannes M., He was foumd guilty of murdering 12 women and three men between September 2021 and July 2024. Prosecutors said that the victims age varied from 25 to 94 and they were all receiving medical care at the time of their deaths.

The Berlin court has Sentenced the 41-year-old German doctor after prosecutors presented evidence that he intentionally gives the fatal drug combinations to the patients without their knowledge.
Based on prosecutors, He said that the German Doctor used a mixture of an anesthetic, and a muscle relaxant that caused respiratory paralysis, that can lead to death within a minutes. The court imposed;
- Life imprisonment.
- ban from practicing medicine.
This sentence matched the punishment searched by prosecutors during the trial.
German prosecutors disputed that the crime met the legal definition of “lust for murder,” and a classification used in German criminal law for murders that had no financial or personal motive beyond killing itself is one of the most aspects of the case which the prosecution’s claim.
Based on investigators, they said there was no evidence that shows the killings was led by financial gain or personal disputes
Investigators claimed that Johannes M attempted to cover up many of his killings by setting fires at the victims’ homes.
According to prosecutors;
- five apartments were claimed to set on fire.
- The fires were intended to destroy the evidence.
