A video showing a Lagos dispatch rider dozes on motorcycle has sparked discussions online about the challenges faced by delivery workers. Social commentator Chuks Eric E shared the clip, which received many likes, shares, and comments. The video shows an exhausted dispatch rider falling asleep on his motorcycle while waiting for a delivery. It has raised concerns about the long working hours, rising fuel costs, and family responsibilities that put pressure on delivery workers.
The video sparked a debate online about people’s responsibility to help others and the proper use of social media. People shared different opinions, with most falling into two main groups:
Many people urged others to show compassion instead of making fun of the rider. They said his tiredness showed how hard he was working to earn money and provide for his family.

Some people criticised the person who recorded the rider without helping him first or getting his permission. They questioned whether it was right to share someone’s difficult moment online just to gain attention.
The Lagos dispatch rider dozes on motorcycle incident highlights the dangers of riding through busy Lagos roads without enough rest. When riders are tired, the risk of accidents increases. Safety experts are urging delivery companies to provide better support for their workers, including fair working hours, enough rest, and access to medical care. These steps could help protect riders while they do their jobs.
