Iraq’s Military Intelligence announced on Saturday that the 19 wanted individuals had been arrested in separate security operations across six provinces.
The Directorate said the suspects were wanted on various legal charges and were captured after intelligence gathering and field surveillance. The arrests took place in Baghdad, Diyala, Anbar, Maysan, Salah al‑Din, and Kirkuk, with detachments from several divisions including the 1st, 7th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 22nd, and 23rd divisions ,involved in the operations.

This announcement came shortly after another operation in Anbar province, where Military Intelligence captured an alleged ISIS member in an ambush in the Rutba district’s 160‑Kilometer area. The suspect, wanted under Article 4 of Iraq’s Counter‑Terrorism Law, was accused of fighting with ISIS and attacking Iraqi security forces. He was transferred to the authorities for further investigation.
These arrests are part of Iraq’s ongoing security efforts to track down wanted individuals and pursue remnants of terrorist groups. Authorities relied on intelligence‑led missions to locate suspects before making arrests.
