An unusual white foam appeared along the Abuja–Kaduna Expressway in Nigeria, prompting an official investigation after the white substance drew crowds and raised public safety concerns.
The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) has urged motorists and residents to avoid any contact with the unidentified substance while they are still conducting a laboratory tests to determine the source of it.

According to NESREA, officials from Kaduna State Field Office visited the site following reports of the white foam. Samples of the substance, along with nearby soil and water, were collected to assess and evaluate any potential environmental or health risks.
The mysterious appearance of the foam drew hundreds of people as some were taking pictures and videos including sending them on social media. Some speculated that it might be a chemical spill while others claimed it to be a snow or clouds that had fallen from the sky.
Although NESREA explained that their initial observation suggested that it might be a spill caused by a lorry accident on the highway. However the exact contents of the cargo remains uncertain, as the laboratory testing is still ongoing which will help to identify the substance and check for any environmental risks.
