The Sultan of Sokoto 20th anniversary celebrates his 20 years of traditional leadership and his efforts to promote religious tolerance, national unity and peace across Nigeria.

In his congratulatory message, President Tinubu said the Sultan has protected and promoted the history and traditions of the Sokoto Caliphate. He also praised the monarch for using his position to promote peace, stability and community development.
The Sultan has also worked to promote religious tolerance and understanding among Nigerians. As President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and Co-Chairman of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), he has encouraged Christians and Muslims to live together peacefully.
President Tinubu also praised the Sultan for promoting peace and unity during difficult times in the country. He said the monarch’s efforts have helped Nigerians see their religious and cultural differences as a source of strength rather than division.
Several political and traditional leaders have congratulated the Sultan on the Sultan of Sokoto 20th anniversary, praising his leadership, wise advice and commitment to promoting peace and unity across Nigeria.
