The Edo APC Chairman Tenebe 2027 vote target has sparked discussion ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Edo APC Chairman Jarret Tenebe said the party aims to deliver 2.5 million votes to President Bola Tinubu in Edo State.

Tenebe has also made strong comments about the party’s efforts to achieve the target. The remarks have drawn criticism from opposition figures, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which accused him of making statements that could encourage election-related tension.

During recent public engagements, Tenebe referred to the APC’s reported 2,158,600 votes in the Edo local government election as evidence of the party’s ability to target 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Tenebe has continued to describe the 2.5 million-vote target as part of the APC’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 election. Recent reports say the party has started mobilisation across Edo’s 18 local government areas.

Political competition in Edo State remains active as parties prepare for the 2027 elections. The APC has focused on grassroots mobilisation, while opposition parties have criticised some of the ruling party’s statements and activities.

As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections, civil society groups are calling for electoral rules on hate speech and political intimidation to be properly enforced.

Observers say keeping peace in Edo State will require Edo APC Chairman Tenebe 2027 vote target statements from political leaders, good governance, and effective security measures.
