Türkiye considers all efforts aimed at achieving peace in Gaza to be significant, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a phone call with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Erdogan praised Brazil for refusing to remain silent on what he described as the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, according to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate, which shared details of the call on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal on Wednesday.

Erdogan stressed that Ankara will continue to work actively toward ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. He reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to promoting peace, supporting reconstruction efforts, and addressing the urgent needs of Palestinians living in the enclave.

The Turkish president also highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations with Brazil across multiple sectors, noting that cooperation between the two countries remains a priority.

“Türkiye will continue its efforts to establish peace, alleviate suffering, and rebuild Gaza, while also deepening our ties with Brazil in political, economic, and cultural domains,” Erdogan said, according to the Communications Directorate.

The call underscores Türkiye’s ongoing role in advocating for international initiatives aimed at resolving the Gaza conflict and supporting humanitarian aid in the region.
