The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its proposed campaign schedule for the 2027 general elections. The Tinubu 2027 campaign schedule 12 states outlines where President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend rallies across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

The campaign is scheduled to begin in Kaduna State on October 24, 2026, and end with a grand rally in Lagos State on January 9, 2027. The APC plans to hold campaign events across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), but Tinubu is expected to attend only selected rallies in person.

The proposed itinerary lists the following locations for Tinubu’s campaign appearances:

  • North-West: Kaduna on October 24, Sokoto on December 5, and Kano on December 17.
  • North-East: Maiduguri on November 25, Bauchi on November 29, and Yola on January 4, 2027.
  • North-Central: Jos on November 14.
  • South-West: Ibadan on November 21 and Lagos on January 9, 2027.
  • South-South: Port Harcourt on November 7 and Asaba on December 12.
  • South-East: Enugu on November 28.

APC officials and supporters argue that Tinubu must focus on governing the country rather than attending every campaign event. They say he needs time to manage the economy, continue government reforms, and handle international duties.

Supporters also argue that the administration’s policies and projects have helped promote its message over the past three years. They point to road and infrastructure projects across the country, as well as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which helps eligible students pay for their education.

The Tinubu 2027 campaign schedule 12 states has attracted criticism from opposition figures and other political critics. Some argue that fewer rallies could reduce opportunities for Tinubu to hear directly from Nigerians dealing with high prices, inflation, and the effects of fuel subsidy removal.

Critics say the president should meet people in different communities instead of relying mainly on rallies in selected cities and campaign teams.

The planned visit to Yola in Adamawa State, the home state of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has also attracted attention. Some observers may view the visit as part of the APC’s wider political strategy.

The Tinubu 2027 campaign schedule 12 states has sparked discussion as the APC highlights infrastructure projects and student loans, while critics argue that many Nigerians still face financial pressure and rising living costs.

The party also plans to rely on governors and regional coordinators to organize campaigns across the country. This approach would allow campaign activities to continue in different states without requiring Tinubu to attend every event.
