Blord modified iPhone XR phones are getting attention in Nigeria after the businessman was reportedly seen selling older iPhones that were changed to look like the new iPhone 18 Pro for ₦380,000.

The phone reportedly comes with a charger and warranty. However, the device is still an iPhone XR and not a real iPhone 18 Pro.

The report came shortly after Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 9, 2026. Apple says the new Pro models have the A20 Pro chip, an improved camera system with a 48MP Fusion Main camera, better battery performance and a smaller Dynamic Island.

The reported ₦380,000 price for the modified phone is much lower than the price of a genuine iPhone 18 Pro. Apple lists the 256GB model from $1,199 in the US, while early Nigerian retailer listings put it at about ₦2.5 million. These are retailer prices, not official Apple Nigeria prices.

The reported sale has sparked different reactions online. Some people like the lower price and the chance to own a phone that looks like a new iPhone without spending millions of naira.Others want buyers to clearly know that the device is a modified iPhone XR.

The reactions show why buyers should check a phone’s model, specifications and condition instead of judging it only by its appearance.

The latest report is similar to a controversy involving Blord and modified iPhones in 2025. In October 2025, Blord shared an iPhone XR that had been changed to look like an iPhone 17 Pro. This led to a public disagreement with VeryDarkMan, who questioned the phone’s description and price.

Reports said Blord was selling the modified phone for hundreds of thousands of naira, while VeryDarkMan claimed similar phones were available from China at a lower price.
