The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was busy on October 5, 2026, as First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu hosted the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation Summit at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
More than 20,000 female political leaders, delegates, and APC supporters from all 36 states and the FCT attended the event. The summit was held to bring the women together and prepare them for upcoming political activities.
The APC Women Summit Abuja Oluremi Tinubu was organised with the APC Women Mobilisation Directorate and held under the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity.” The event focused on strengthening the party’s women mobilisation network across Nigeria.

The organisers said they planned to strengthen women’s support groups across wards, polling units, and local government areas. The APC women’s mobilisation team also said it was targeting 40 million votes from women for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 election.
Speaking at the APC Women Summit Abuja Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu called on party leaders to bring different women’s groups together under the APC structure. She said a united women’s movement would improve coordination and representation within the party.
Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Minister of Women Affairs Praised the government for introducing economic reforms and supporting women entrepreneurs through various programmes. Dr. Mary Alile Idele, APC National Women Leader Emphasised the need to bring women coordinators from different states and regions together to improve communication with women in rural communities.

Hajiya Nana Shettima stated the government’s commitment to creating lasting economic opportunities for women, especially those running micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs).
