Hiroshima 81st Anniversary of the Atomic Bombing was held on August 6, 2026. as thousands of poeple gathered at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to honor the victims who lost their lives, to support the survivors and their familes, reflect on the world’s first wartime use of an atomic bomb, and discuss the onging debates over nuclear weapons.
Government officials, diplomats, survivors, and international representatives attented this event. The speeches highlighted the human impart of nuclear weapons, changes in global security, and the need for the future generations
to learn from histroy .
During the ceremony, A minute of silence was observed At exactly 8:15 a.m the moment the United State dropprd the atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 as the Peace Bell rang through the Hiroshima memorial park.

This event renewed debates over the japan’s long- standing postwar Three Non-Nuclear Principles, which stated that japan will Not have nuclear weapons, will Not produce nuclear weapons, and will Not allow nuclear weapons into the country.
These has been the ongoing public dabets over whether parts of these Principles should be reviewed as japan’s develops its future security strategy in response to changes in regional security condition
During the ceremony, the Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said that the japan will keep workingr towards a world which nuclear weapon are never used under the framework of the Treaty on the Non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. she also said that the country would maintain its Three Non-Nuclear Principles while pursing a balanced approach that will support peace and meets the Japan’s national security needs.
The survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, known as Hibakusha, said that the nuclear weapons should be eliminated because renewing it will put the nuclear disarmament effort. at risk
according to officials records, the atomic bombing occured on August 6,1945, during the closing stage of the second world war and killed 140,000 people.and three days after, another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki and killed about 70,000 people. because of this distruction , japan decided to surrender on August 15, 1945, which ended the second world war.

The officals also said that 91,105 of people including small children survived during the attacks at that time with their avarage age now exceeding to 86years.
