The Michigan health officials have confirmed that two people have died after contracting cyclosporiasis. Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by a microscopic parasite. this outbreak has continued to spread across the United States, with thousands of poeple infected, accordling to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The infection can be contracted by consuming food or water that have already been contaminated with the parasite. although Cyclosporiasis is considerd as a treatable illiness. it can last for a couple of days or even weeks if its not treated .Investigations are still going on to minitor the additional cases across differents states .

First Deaths in Cyclosporiasis Outbreak.
According to the information recieved by the authorities, older adult and individauals with a weakened immune system and chronic illinesses are at a high risk of complications due to dehydration and their underlying health condition .
The CDC reported that infection rates across the United States has increased in several states in recent weeks. More than 11,500 suspected cases are currently under investigation, and 6,707 laboratory comfirmd cases have be recorded. This outbreak has been identified as the one of the largest cyclosporiasis outbreaks recorded in recent years.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) repoeted that the illness was linked to a contiminated lettuce, that been supplied through certain food distribution channels that sold at Taco Bell location owned by Yum Brands. this contiminated lettuce product were withdraw from sale. Howevert the outbreak did not stop,it keeps increases wihich enable the public heaith investigators to search for another possible source that can cause this outbreak.
The public health investigators began interviewing patient because they belived that this illness can not be caused by one contaminated food source. unfortunately, many patienst could not remembered what they had eaten or consumed before falling ill, makeing things diffcult for the health officals to identified the source of this break.

Michigan Health Officials and local agencies has continue to work together to determine whether there are other comtiminated food source that linked to The First Deaths in Cyclosporiasis Outbreak as Michigan recoreded as one of the higest number of affected individuals.
