Abdul’aziz Ganduje, son of former Kano State governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, visited Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.

A media aide confirmed the visit on Thursday through a public social media post. The confirmation drew attention because of the tense political climate in Kano.

Visit Happens Amid Political Tension

The visit comes during rising political tension in Kano. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently defected to the All Progressives Congress. Ganduje holds a key national role in the party.

Observers say the visit could signal political discussions or reassurance of loyalty.

Meeting Marks Respect and Loyalty

According to the media aide, Abdul’aziz Ganduje visited Kwankwaso to show respect. He also reaffirmed loyalty to the former governor and leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

Officials did not share details of their discussion. Yet, the visit has generated interest in Kano’s political circles.

Kano Politics Intensifies

Political activity in Kano has grown in recent days. Senator Kwankwaso expressed disappointment over Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf leaving the party that brought him to power.

Kwankwaso questioned why the governor abandoned the platform that secured his governorship. He referred to the hard-fought struggle in the last election and the subsequent return of the governorship to Ganduje’s camp.
