Dejan Kulusevski to Miss Rest of Tottenham 2025/26 Season
Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski will not return this season after a serious patella injury. Fans now worry if the Swedish star can regain his top form.
Kulusevski has not played since May 2025. Tottenham’s updated Champions League squad shows he will miss all remaining matches this season.
Kulusevski: From Star Signing to Injury Setback
Kulusevski quickly became one of Spurs’ best signings. He excelled under Antonio Conte and became a key player early in Ange Postecoglou’s second season.
Injuries later slowed him down. A knee problem just before the Europa League final kept him out for almost nine months. Manager Thomas Frank called the injury “complicated” and has not set a return date.

Champions League Squad Confirms Absence
Tottenham announced their Champions League knockout squad and cut the roster from 25 to 22 players. Kulusevski did not make the list, ruling him out for the rest of the competition.
Other players left out include James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ben Davies, and Yves Bissouma. Mathys Tel, Conor Gallagher, and Radu Drăgușin will take bigger roles this season. Fans remain concerned about Kulusevski’s recovery.
Looking Ahead
Kulusevski may still play for Sweden in international competitions, including the World Cup. At Tottenham, however, he is unlikely to return this season. The club will rely on its current squad to handle the remaining fixtures without their key playmaker.
