The delegation was led by Presidential Advisor on Security Tut Gatluak, who conveyed a message from President Salva Kiir Mayardit to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Speaking upon arrival at Juba International Airport, Monday Semaya K. Kumba, South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that the meetings addressed both bilateral and multilateral coordination.
According to Kumba, the leaders reviewed the current state of relations between Egypt and South Sudan and examined areas of mutual interest, including Nile water cooperation and regional security concerns.
