Job Description

The Software Developer at Electronic Payplus Limited will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software applications within the company’s technology environment.

The role also involves maintaining existing solutions and integrating applications with the Epayplus operational infrastructure. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise and the ability to follow established software development standards.


Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

Software Development and Implementation

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions aligned with international best practices

  • Interpret software design specifications and object oriented design models

  • Translate requirements into functional software applications

  • Develop and unit test application modules and web pages

System Integration

  • Integrate application modules with internal systems and external platforms

  • Conduct integration testing between banks, payment switches, and other stakeholders

  • Ensure compatibility with hardware and related software systems

Testing and Deployment

  • Perform end to end software development from requirement gathering to user acceptance testing

  • Test products in controlled environments before live deployment

  • Deploy application upgrades and apply necessary fixes in collaboration with IT system administrators

  • Apply strict change control procedures when modifying production applications

Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Monitor application performance in line with solution provider standards

  • Maintain systems after deployment

  • Review existing systems to improve efficiency and performance

Documentation and Collaboration

  • Produce detailed technical specifications and program codes

  • Prepare user training manuals

  • Work closely with analysts, designers, and other team members

  • Research and evaluate software tools for multi platform development

  • Carry out additional assignments as delegated by the Head of IT and Product Development


Requirements

To qualify for the Software Developer at Electronic Payplus Limited position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • BSc or HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

Technical Experience

  • Experience building applications using ASP.NET MVC

  • Proficiency in C#, Web API, JSON, and REST services

  • Strong knowledge of T SQL and stored procedure programming

Added Advantage
