Job Summary
The Senior Consultant, Accounts and Tax will be responsible for providing high quality accounting and tax services to both internal operations and external clients. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts while ensuring full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
This position also involves client relationship management, staff supervision, and advisory support on financial planning and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The duties associated with the Senior Consultant Accounts and Tax at Beckley Consulting Limited include preparing monthly budgets, trial balances, comparative financial statements, and bank reconciliation statements for both clients and the firm.
The role requires regular liaison with clients to obtain financial data needed for accurate reporting and analysis. The consultant will manage tax related matters including Withholding Tax, Value Added Tax, Pay As You Earn, and Company Income Tax computations, remittances, and statutory returns.
Additional responsibilities include conducting audits, preparing accounts from incomplete records, and ensuring that all financial reports meet regulatory and professional standards. The consultant is expected to stay updated on changes in Nigerian tax laws and policies and provide timely advice to clients.
The role also involves training and mentoring junior staff and clients on accounting and taxation matters. Periodic client visits will be required to deliver on site accounting or tax support. Collaboration with the Client Services Manager on business planning and cost estimation projects is part of the job scope.
Supervision of Associate Consultants to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and service quality is a key responsibility. Other related duties may be assigned by management as needed.
Job Requirements
Applicants for the Senior Consultant Accounts and Tax at Beckley Consulting Limited must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. A professional accounting qualification, specifically ACA, is mandatory for this role.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years progressive experience in accounting, auditing, and tax practice, preferably within a consulting or professional services firm. Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, including PAYE, WHT, VAT, and CIT, is essential.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between N350,000 and N400,000 monthly. Additional benefits include 13th month pay, leave allowance, pension contribution, and Health Maintenance Organization coverage.
