MOSCOW — The Russian army has received a large batch of Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jets, according to Rostec.
Rostec said one of its subsidiaries, the United Aircraft Corporation, manufactured and delivered the jets in a new technical configuration to the Russian Defense Ministry.
“The machines have updated onboard systems and a new weapons complex,” the statement said.

Advanced Testing and Capabilities
Before delivery, the aircraft underwent a full cycle of factory trials. Military pilots then evaluated them in different operational conditions.
Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov said, “Aviation plants are fulfilling their tasks on time. They constantly upgrade equipment based on the customer’s needs and real combat conditions.”
Chemezov added, “The Su-57 is a formidable weapon that has proven effective on the front line. The fifth-generation complex can operate even against the most advanced enemy air defenses. The new batch is even more powerful and dangerous.”

Combat Readiness and Features
The Su-57 jets are capable of striking air, ground, and sea targets. They can operate day and night, in complex weather, and under electronic jamming. Their low observability allows them to remain effective even against modern air defense systems.
Rostec is one of Russia’s largest state-owned defense conglomerates, playing a key role in the country’s military-industrial complex and strategic technology planning.
