The Protection Officer will work under the supervision of the State Coordinator to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of protection activities. Major Roles and Responsibilities
Implementation of Protection Activities
Carry out protection interventions in line with approved project plans and donor requirements. Ensure activities align with humanitarian standards and organizational policies.
Risk Identification and Response
Identify, document, and respond to protection risks, including cases related to Gender Based Violence and child protection. Ensure appropriate action is taken in accordance with established guidelines.
Case Management and Referrals
Support case management processes, facilitate referrals to relevant service providers, and conduct follow up activities in line with protection protocols.
Community Sensitization
Facilitate awareness sessions within communities on protection issues, Gender Based Violence prevention, and child rights. Promote understanding of available services and reporting mechanisms.
Data Management and Confidentiality
Ensure safe, confidential, and ethical handling of protection related information. Maintain accurate records while safeguarding sensitive data.
Monitoring and Reporting
Contribute to protection assessments, monitoring activities, and reporting processes. Prepare timely activity reports, success stories, and documentation of lessons learned.
Integration of Protection Principles
Support the mainstreaming of protection principles across other sectoral interventions within the organization’s programs.
Additional Duties
Perform other assigned responsibilities that support effective project delivery.
Required Qualifications

Experience Requirements
