Delta Police Arrest Seven Suspected Drug Dealers in Ugborikoko, Recover Hard Drugs
Delta State, Nigeria – January 24, 2026 – The Delta State Police have arrested seven suspected drug dealers in Ugborikoko community, Uvwie Local Government Area and recovered a large quantity of hard drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The operation took place on January 20, 2026, at around 10:00 a.m., targeting an organized drug syndicate operating in the area. SP Bright Edafe, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests in a statement from Warri.
“Acting on credible intelligence, our officers launched a focused operation that uncovered an organized drug syndicate in Ugborikoko,” SP Edafe said.
Initially, the police arrested one suspect, who then provided crucial information. This led officers to six more suspects, believed to be key members of the drug supply chain. The arrested individuals are: Daniel Ojukwu (male), Rose Otofi (female), Osaro Okosu (male), Maro Ibecham (male), Fregene Victory (male), and Kevwe Irimoni (male).
During searches of their homes, officers recovered:

16 sachets of Swinol

30 tablets of Tramadol

52 packs of loud

2 crushers for processing and resale
The police confirmed that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the syndicate’s operations. They also stressed their commitment to fight drug trafficking and protect the safety of the community.
“We will continue to ensure that drug traffickers face justice. Residents can also help by providing information to law enforcement,” SP Edafe added.
Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with police to prevent the spread of illegal drugs in Delta State.
