Ogun State Police have arrested two additional suspects connected to a cement truck hijacking along the Papalanto–Ilaro and Owode–Idiroko roads.
The suspects are 24-year-old John Seun, also known as ‘Dagrin’, and 35-year-old Olanipekun Ezekiel, known as ‘Sharply’.

Background of the Case
Earlier in January, police arrested eight members of the armed robbery syndicate and recovered a locally made single-barrel pistol.
Investigations showed that the gang hijacked a trailer carrying 900 bags of cement. The driver was restrained, and the goods were diverted to the syndicate’s buyer.
In addition, police believe the gang has committed similar attacks in the area.
Suspects Confess to Crimes
Police Public Relations Officer Oluseyi Babaseyi said the suspects confessed to being part of the armed robbery syndicate during questioning.

They also admitted to committing murder in previous criminal operations.
Babaseyi said, “The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two additional suspects in connection with criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and the hijacking of a cement trailer. Further investigation showed that they confessed to committing murder in earlier operations.”
Investigation Continues
The Ogun State Police are tracking other fleeing members of the syndicate.
Meanwhile, the command urged anyone with information about the gang to report to the nearest police station.
