The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arraigned 30-year-old Kamardeen Hakeem at the Ibadan Division of the Federal High Court over alleged drug trafficking.
Hakeem faces a one-count charge for unlawfully dealing in 202 grammes of cannabis sativa, commonly known as hemp.

Defendant Pleads Guilty
Hakeem pleaded guilty to the charge. Following the plea, Trial Judge Nkeonye Maha ordered that he be remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre. The case has been adjourned to March 10 for review of facts and judgment.
Details of the Alleged Offence
Prosecutor R.O. Ige informed the court that the alleged offence took place on November 7, 2025, in the Apata area of Ibadan, Oyo State. NDLEA operatives reportedly arrested Hakeem in possession of a bag containing 202 grammes of cannabis sativa.
The offence violates Section 11(C) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30, Laws of the Federation 2004.
