Nigerian rapper Iceprince Zamani has publicly acknowledged veteran hip hop artist Naeto C as a major influence on his music career. The rapper revealed that Naeto C’s work played a key role in shaping his sound during his early years in the industry.
Influence of Super C Season
Iceprince said Naeto C’s 2011 album, Super C Season, had a lasting impact on him. He recalled purchasing the album at Palmgrove bus stop and listening to it repeatedly. According to Iceprince, the project continues to inspire him years later.
He described Super C Season as an essential album for aspiring rappers, adding that Naeto C remains one of the artists he admires most in Nigerian hip hop.

Inspiration Behind Juju
Iceprince also revealed that his popular song Juju was inspired by Naeto C’s track Voodoo, which appears on the same album. He explained that he played Voodoo for producer Jesse Jagz and requested a similar sound.
That creative direction later resulted in the production of Juju, one of Iceprince’s breakthrough songs.
Rise in Nigerian Hip Hop
Iceprince gained wider recognition after signing with Chocolate City, the record label founded by Audu Maikori. He joined the label alongside Brymo, following the earlier signings of M.I Abaga and Jesse Jagz.
His time at Chocolate City helped solidify his position in Nigerian hip hop and brought his music to a broader audience.
