Delaram Kazemi Remains Detained in Kermanshah Prison Despite Severe Injuries
Delaram Kazemi, a Kurdish woman from Gilan e Gharb in Kermanshah Province, has spent 29 days in detention after Iranian government forces arrested her. Authorities currently hold her in the women’s ward of Kermanshah Central Prison.
Kazemi is a mother of two. Reports state that security forces beat her during her arrest and later while she was in detention. The assaults caused fractures to her arms and legs.
Prison authorities transferred Kazemi to prison without providing medical treatment. She has not received proper care despite the seriousness of her injuries. Her health condition continues to raise concern.
According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Kazemi was first arrested during protests on January 4, 2026. Authorities released her briefly before rearresting her on January 7, 2026. Security forces used violence during the second arrest in Gilan e Gharb.
Kazemi remains in custody as concerns grow over her health and the continued denial of medical care.
