2027: APC Predicts Collapse of Anti Tinubu Coalition

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the growing opposition coalition against President Bola Tinubu. The party says the coalition will likely collapse due to internal conflicts and personal ambitions.

APC claims the coalition lacks unity, clear goals, and trust. It says the group is unstable and driven mainly by the ambitions of several presidential aspirants.

APC Calls Coalition a Group of Ambitious Politicians

In a statement on Thursday, APC spokesman Seye Oladejo said the coalition is not a real alliance. He said it is a group of politicians who will not put the country first.

He said, “What is being marketed as a coalition is, in reality, a congregation of serial presidential aspirants, each unwilling to subordinate ego to collective purpose.”

Oladejo added that the coalition has no shared ideology or vision for Nigeria beyond power.

Public Demands Expose Divisions

Oladejo said public ultimatums from opposition leaders show the coalition is divided.

He noted that demands for guaranteed presidential or vice presidential tickets have replaced calm talks.

He said, “When leading figures openly demand guaranteed presidential or vice presidential tickets before alignment, it becomes clear that this is not a partnership but a transactional bargain.”

Internal Hostility is Visible

Oladejo also pointed out that opposition leaders are asking their supporters to stop attacking one another.

He said this shows rising tension within the coalition.

He added, “A coalition that must beg its own followers for peace has already conceded defeat to its internal chaos.”

Multiple Power Centres Threaten the Coalition

The APC said the coalition will struggle because it has many power centres.

Oladejo warned that this will weaken decision making and cause failure.

He said, “Nigeria has seen this movie before, and the ending is always the same fragmentation, recrimination, and implosion.”

APC Focused on Governance

Despite the opposition, the APC says it remains focused on governance and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Oladejo said the party has shown it can manage internal differences through democratic processes.

He said elections are won through performance, structure, and clear vision, not weak alliances.

He added that Nigerians will choose stability and continuity in the 2027 elections.
