The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has shared a three‑day forecast covering from Monday to Wednesday. The outlook shows a mix of sunshine, clouds, thunderstorms, and rainfall across different regions of the country.
In the North, states like Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna are expected to see thunderstorms with rain on Monday morning, while Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, and Kano will likely experience similar conditions later in the day. Thunderstorms and rainfall are expected to continue across northern areas through Tuesday and Wednesday.

The North‑Central region, including Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue, and the Federal Capital Territory, is also forecast to have thunderstorms and rainfall throughout the period. Residents are advised to stay alert as conditions may change quickly.
Southern states such as Ondo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos, and Bayelsa will likely see morning showers, with heavier rainfall possible later in the day. Thunderstorms and moderate rainfall could spread more widely across the South on Tuesday and Wednesday.
NiMet forecasts has warned that prolonged rainfall may lead to flash flooding, especially in coastal areas. Strong winds may also occur before thunderstorms. The agency advises people to avoid flooded roads, disconnect electrical appliances during storms, stay away from tall trees during strong winds, and monitor weather updates regularly. Drivers are urged to be cautious and not attempt to drive through flooded roads.
