According to the information recieved from the police , lagos security guard identified as Godwin was killed by suspected cultists during an attack in the Abule Ijesha area of Yaba, Lagos State. this incident occured on saturday eveming when the residents reported hearing multiples of gunshots across the neighborhood.
The suspected cultists reportedly arrived in the area in a vehicle, confronted the security guard near his duty post and allegedly shot him on the head before attacking him with an axe, this violence incident occured within a short period of time leaving the resident sacred and shocked

The government officials have comfirmed that the investigation of this incident is still ongoing to determined how the attack happened and to identify those that behind the attack. some online reporters have also cliamed that additional poeple were also injuried during the attact, but the lagos State Police Command has not officially verified those claims as of time of reporting
According to the eyewitnesses, the attackers arrived in a white Mercedes-Benz before carrying out the attack. they allegedly fired several gunshots after killing the Lagos Security Guard and also fired another shots into the air while escaping from the area where the incident occured., some reporters claimed that the gunshots hit three girks and left them with injuries.
The sound of the gunfire was reportedly forced the traders, residents, motorists, and pedestrians to take shelter as panic spread through the nearby street, although this information remains unverfied by the Lagos State Police Command.
law enforcement officers reporterly recieved the information about this incident shortly after the incident occured and they are gathering evidence to know exactly what happened, even though the identities of the attackers has not yet been confirmed but the investigators believe the incident may be linked to cult-related activities.
