AC Milan Beat Bologna to Close Gap on Inter
AC Milan boosted their Serie A title push with a dominant 3 to 0 away victory over Bologna on Tuesday. The result reduced the gap between Milan and league leaders Inter as the season heads into a decisive phase.
According to AFP Milan remain second on the table and are now five points behind Inter while opening a four point cushion over third placed Napoli.

First Half Control Sets the Tone
Milan took control early and broke the deadlock after 20 minutes. Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia denied Christopher Nkunku with a close range header but the rebound fell kindly to Adrien Rabiot. Rabiot squared the ball for Ruben Loftus Cheek who tapped in to score his second league goal of the season.
Loftus Cheek played a key role again minutes later by threading a pass into the box for Nkunku. Ravaglia mistimed his challenge and brought down the France international. Nkunku calmly converted the resulting penalty to double Milan’s advantage before the break.

Rabiot Seals Comfortable Win
Milan put the result beyond doubt shortly after halftime. Just three minutes into the second period Rabiot struck decisively to make it three and secure all three points for the visitors.
Bologna pushed late in the match with Niclas Fullkrug going close on two occasions. Ravaglia produced strong saves to deny him but the effort was not enough to change the outcome.

What the Result Means
The convincing win follows Milan’s recent draw with Roma and underlines their strong response in the title race. With momentum building and key players delivering Milan continue to apply pressure on Inter at the top of Serie A.
The result also strengthens Milan’s grip on second place as they look to maintain consistency in the weeks ahead.
