Kwara State experienced another violent attack as bandits targeted Gidan Sani village in the Tsaragi Emirate area, leaving two people dead.
The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday when assailants stormed a family home. According to Kwara State Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo, the attack was an attempted kidnapping.
Attack Details
The bandits went to the home of a miner who was away at the time. They attempted to abduct the man’s father, but his wife resisted. She was shot during the struggle and later died from her injuries. The father sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, while their 10-year-old daughter was also injured in the leg.
While fleeing the scene, the attackers shot another man, bringing the total fatalities to two, police confirmed.

Authorities have launched investigations into the incident. Security operations have been intensified in the area to prevent further attacks and protect residents.
