Actor Noel Clarke sexual offence charges were authorised by UK authorities following allegations involving five women between 2007 and 2016. The 50 year old actor, known for his roles in Doctor Who and Kidulthood, is facing six charges.
The Metropolitan Police investigated the allegations before submitting evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service. On Wednesday, the CPS authorised the charges after reviewing the evidence provided by police.
The charges include different types of alleged sexual offences. Sexual assault generally refers to unwanted sexual contact, while voyeurism involves secretly watching or recording someone in a private situation. However, Clarke has not publicly responded to the charges yet.
Exposure is also a separate sexual offence. It involves an allegation that someone intentionally exposed themselves to another person. The court will consider the details of each allegation as the case proceeds.

The Metropolitan Police started the investigation following an arrest in September 2025. A man in his 40s was arrested on 25 September 2025 in connection with the investigation. Detectives collected evidence and submitted it to the Crown Prosecution Service. The CPS reviewed the evidence and decided there was enough evidence to charge him.
The lead officer, Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, said the women involved in the case are receiving support from specially trained officers. He also encouraged anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact the police.
The police said they have trained staff available to support victims and will handle the information they provide with care and sensitivity.
In the Noel Clarke sexual offence charges case, Clarke is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21 October at 10:00 BST. The first court appearance will begin the legal process concerning the charges.
