BTS is set to make a highly anticipated return with their fifth studio album, Arirang, on March 20, 2026. Ahead of the release, Netflix and Hybe confirmed a live-streamed comeback event and a feature-length documentary.

Netflix Livestream Event
The live event, BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, will take place in Seoul at the historic Gwanghwamun landmark on March 21. Fans worldwide will be able to stream the performance on Netflix.
All seven members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — will reunite on stage for the performance. British director Hamish Hamilton, known for Super Bowl Halftime Shows and the Academy Awards, will oversee the production.

BTS: The Return Documentary
Netflix will also release a documentary titled BTS: The Return on March 27. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the film follows the members as they reunite after a three-year hiatus.
The documentary highlights the group’s creative process while working on new music in Los Angeles and their transition back to group life following solo projects and mandatory military service.
Long-Awaited Comeback
BTS’ return comes after completing South Korea’s mandatory military enlistments and pursuing solo albums and tours. The comeback has generated global excitement among fans.
The group also announced a global tour starting in April, covering 34 cities including Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Paris, and London. The tour spans over 80 shows, with several dates selling out within minutes.
